Pre-Configured Mill Setups
Typical semi-autogenous operation for hard rock. Ore acts as media with supplemental steel balls. Cataracting regime at 75% critical speed.
Steel-ball-dominated charge at high fill. High impact energy for breaking down SAG mill product.
Graduated ball charge for fine particle liberation below 75µm. Higher speed with smaller media for maximum surface area contact.
Steel rods in cascading regime. Gentle grinding for soft materials. Low impact energy prevents over-fines generation.
Fine media in graduated distribution for refractory gold liberation ahead of cyanidation.
Ore grinds itself - minimal steel balls. Large diameter, low media fill. Requires hard, competent ore that can self-break.
Maximum cataracting near the centrifuging threshold. Large mono balls for aggressive impact breakage of hard clinker.
Heavy slurry operation with high ore fill. Reduced effective impact energy at the toe; watch for pooling behaviour.
